DP Diamond Drilling was called in to carry out specialist cutting work at Aintree Hospital to allow for the installation of ACO drainage systems. Given the sensitive hospital environment and the need for a clean, controlled process, our experienced team was trusted to deliver precise and efficient cutting using a combination of Hilti wet/dry cutters, a TE 3000 breaker, and a dry vacuum.
With health and safety at the forefront, and disruption needing to be kept to an absolute minimum, this job demanded not only technical expertise but a tidy and efficient approach on site.
As a team of skilled diamond drillers began by carrying out a full site assessment to determine the best course of action. Using a Hilti wet/dry cutter, we marked and executed the straight, accurate cuts required for the ACO drains. This ensured a clean and professional finish, minimising the amount of follow-up work needed from other trades.
After the initial cuts were complete, we then used the powerful TE 3000 breaker to remove the concrete sections along the cut lines. This allowed for the required depth and width to be achieved quickly and safely. We ensured all works were carried out with maximum control to protect the surrounding areas and surfaces, which is essential in sensitive settings such as hospitals.
Throughout the project, a dry vacuum system was used to control dust and debris. This meant that the worksite was kept clean, and allowed the project to continue without impacting hospital operations.
