When you work with a team like ours, you’re not just hiring a service. You’re trusting a group of people who take real pride in what they do every day. At DP Diamond Drilling, we’ve built our reputation on precision, reliability and a genuine commitment to doing things properly. But behind every clean cut and carefully drilled opening is a team of individuals who bring personality, experience and skill to the job.
As a family-run diamond drilling company, people have always been at the centre of everything we do. From our directors through to our operators and apprentices, every member of the team plays an important role in delivering the high standards we’re known for.

At the heart of the business is our Managing Director, Ben Clements. With 15 years of experience in the industry, Ben has seen the trade evolve and understands exactly what it takes to deliver consistent results. His favourite machine is the Hydraulic Drill along with the oldest diamond floor saw, a reflection of both modern precision and respect for the tools that built the industry. When we asked what he enjoys most about the job, his answer was simple. There is always more concrete that needs cutting and drilling. That straightforward mindset sums up the attitude that runs through the company.

Working closely alongside him is Joe Clements, Director and Operator, who brings 16 years of hands-on experience. Joe enjoys the fast paced nature of the work, particularly when it comes to drilling holes quickly and efficiently. His favourite machine, the Husqvarna 5000 Saw, is a powerful tool that matches his approach to getting the job done right. For Joe, the most rewarding part of the job is making clients happy with good work, which is something that continues to drive the team forward.

Keeping everything organised behind the scenes is Hannah Clements. With 5 years in the business, Hannah ensures that projects run smoothly from start to finish. Whether it’s coordinating schedules or keeping everything on track, her role is essential to the day to day running of our specialist drilling services. Hannah’s favourite part of the job is her lamp made from an old granite core sample, a small but meaningful reminder of the work we do.

Out on site, our experienced operators and technicians are the ones bringing plans to life. Daniel B, our workshop fitter and operative, has spent 4 years working with us and enjoys the hands-on side of the job, particularly hand sawing and ring sawing. His favourite machine is the Petrol Hand Saw, a reliable choice for a variety of cutting tasks.

James G, one of our drilling operators, also has 4 years of experience and takes pride in core drilling and seeing the finished result and his favourite machine is also the Petrol Hand Saw. There’s something satisfying about watching a clean, precise opening come together exactly as planned, and that attention to detail is something we value highly across the team.

Jamie J, who has been with us for 6 years, enjoys working with the Track Saw and takes particular pride in the projects he has worked on, including Rowlinsons. For Jamie, each project is an opportunity to deliver something that lasts, and that sense of ownership is a big part of what makes our team so reliable.

Raymond D, our manager and operator, brings 5 years of experience and a practical approach to the work. His favourite machines are those used for floor and track sawing, and he appreciates the way different materials respond during the process. In his words, the softer the concrete, the better.

Sean M, another of our drilling operators, has spent 3 years developing his skills and enjoys working with the Rig & Motor. His favourite part of the job is cutting and breaking concrete, which is at the core of what we do as diamond drilling contractors. Every job presents a new challenge, and Sean approaches each one with the same focus and determination.

Chris C, an operative with 4 years of experience, enjoys the more intricate and precise jobs. Using equipment like the Giro Rig, he focuses on accuracy and detail, which is essential when working on projects that require a high level of precision. It’s this attention to detail that helps maintain the standards we set as a team.

Lee L, who has been with us for 2 years, works as an operator and enjoys track sawing and floor sawing. One of his standout projects has been working for Downing Construction in Manchester, and like many of the team, he takes pride in being part of larger developments where quality workmanship really matters.

Supporting the team as they continue to grow is Harrison D, our apprentice. With nearly a year of experience, Harrison is learning the trade from the ground up, gaining hands-on knowledge with equipment like the Weka DK32. His enthusiasm for core drilling shows the next generation of the team is already developing the skills needed to carry our standards forward.

Of course, no introduction to the team would be complete without mentioning two very important members who help keep spirits high. Hector Clements, our Head of Wellbeing, has spent 11 and a half years making sure morale stays strong. Whether it’s enjoying pig ears or playing with his favourite stuffed crocodile, Hector takes his role seriously, especially when it comes to ball catching.

Alongside him is Sydney C, our Head of Security, who has been part of the team for 2 and a half years. Always alert and ready, Sydney plays an important role in keeping an eye on things, with a particular interest in chicken as a break time snack.
What brings our team together is a shared approach to work. Whether it’s a large commercial project or a smaller domestic job, everyone understands the importance of doing things properly. As a team of diamond drilling contractors, we know that precision matters, and completing work safely and accurately is key.
Our experience as a diamond drilling company has shown us that no two jobs are ever the same. Different materials, environments and requirements all play a part in how each task is approached. That’s why having a skilled and adaptable team is so important. From those managing operations to those working directly on site, everyone contributes to delivering a consistent level of quality.
There’s also a strong sense of pride in what we do. Many of the team have their favourite machines or specific types of work they enjoy, whether that’s core drilling, hand sawing or working on large scale developments. That passion translates directly into the results we deliver.
At the same time, we never lose sight of the people we’re working for. Clients rely on us to carry out work efficiently, with minimal disruption, and that responsibility is something we take seriously. By combining experience, teamwork and a practical approach, we aim to make every project run as smoothly as possible.
As specialists in diamond drilling and concrete sawing, we understand that our work often forms part of a bigger picture. Whether it’s preparing a site for new installations or supporting ongoing construction, our role is to provide reliable and precise drilling solutions that others can build on.
Looking ahead, the focus remains the same. Continue developing the team, maintain high standards and approach every project with the same level of care and attention. With a mix of experience and new talent coming through, we’re well placed to keep delivering the kind of results that our clients expect.
